In 2018, Noblesfontein Wind Farm commissioned a company known as Knowledge Pele to create a research-based Community Development Plan for the community of Victoria West. The approach is based on in-depth research, combining social research methods to generate a comprehensive understanding of the community and its development objectives. Knowledge Pele aims to design and implement socio-economic and enterprise development programmes that result in verifiable improvements to transform the community.

SAPS: “We as the South African Police are happy to work with the Noblesfontein Wind Project as we are dealing with youth that are committing crime. The sport activities that we are about to start will keep the youngsters busy and off the streets”.

Parent: “As a single parent the Noblesfontein bursary had helped me a lot, to build a brighter future for my child. I can sleep at night because I know my daughter is secure in her studies.”

Employee at Noblesfontein: “At my age of 51 years I was given an opportunity to be a bread-winner at home and to look after my children as a single parent. I grew up working on the farm and never went to school, but now as I’m working for a decent salary, I can send my children to better schools and am so grateful.”
